Thank you Pres. Carter for saying what we all have been feeling.
ATLANTA – Former President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday that U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson’s outburst to President Barack Obama during a speech to Congress last week was an act “based on racism” and rooted in fears of a black president.
“I think it’s based on racism,” Carter said at a town hall held at his presidential center in Atlanta. “There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president.”
The Georgia Democrat said the outburst was a part of a disturbing trend directed at the president that has included demonstrators equating Obama to Nazi leaders.
“Those kind of things are not just casual outcomes of a sincere debate on whether we should have a national program on health care,” he said. “It’s deeper than that.”
Wilson, a South Carolina Republican, was formally rebuked Tuesday in a House vote for shouting “You lie!” during Obama’s speech to Congress last Wednesday.
The shout came after the president commented that illegal aliens would be ineligible for federal subsidies to buy health insurance. Republicans expressed their disbelief with sounds of disapproval, punctuated by Wilson’s outburst.
Carter had earlier detailed his concerns in an interview that aired Tuesday on NBC’s “Nightly News.â€
“I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he is African-American,” Carter said.
“Racism … still exists and I think it has bubbled up to the surface because of a belief among many white people, not just in the south but around the country, that African-Americans are not qualified to lead this great country. It’s an abominable circumstance and grieves me and concerns me very deeply,†Carter told NBC News.
The former president also said that he believed that Obama had the personal qualities to “triumph†over any such negative attitudes.
Rare rebuke
Tuesday’s rebuke of Wilson was a rare resolution of disapproval pushed through by Democrats who insisted that the Republican had violated basic rules of decorum and civility. Other Republicans characterized the measure as a witch hunt and Wilson, who had already apologized to Obama, insisted he owed the House no apology.
Wilson’s spokesman was not immediately available for comment, but his eldest son defended his father.
“There is not a racist bone in my dad’s body,” said Alan Wilson, an Iraq veteran who is running for state attorney general. “He doesn’t even laugh at distasteful jokes. I won’t comment on former President Carter, because I don’t know President Carter. But I know my dad, and it’s just not in him.”
“It’s unfortunate people make that jump. People can disagree — and appropriately disagree — on issues of substance, but when they make the jump to race it’s absolutely ludicrous. My brothers and I were raised by our parents to respect everyone regardless of background or race.”
Encouraging racist views?
South Carolina’s former Democratic Party chairman said that he doesn’t believe Wilson was motivated by racism, but said the outburst encouraged racist views.
“I think Joe’s conduct was asinine, but I think it would be asinine no matter what the color of the president,” said Dick Harpootlian, who has known Wilson for decades. “I don’t think Joe’s outburst was caused by President Obama being African-American. I think it was caused by no filter being between his brain and his mouth.”
Harpootlian said he received scores of racial e-mails from outside South Carolina after he talked about the vote on Fox News.
“You have a bunch of folks out there looking for some comfort in their racial issues. They have a problem with an African-American president,” he said. “But was he motivated by that? I don’t think so. I respectfully disagree with President Carter, though it gives validity to racism.”
Carter called Wilson’s comment “dastardly” and an aftershock of racist views that have permeated American politics for decades.
“The president is not only the head of government, he is the head of state,” he said. “And no matter who he is or how much we disagree with his policies, the president should be treated with respect.”

I love how he called him “a black man” and “African American” in one sentence. Wow, he is really driving the point home, but in case none of us knew…President Obama is Black.
When I supported McCain, I was called a racist.
When I oppose socialization of 20% of the U.S. economy (health care) I am called a racist.
What ever happened to taking sides on candidates and issues?

Attention black Americans,
What I have to say is of the utmost importance. I realize that President Barack Obama represents the American Dream (aka “the struggle”) and that he represents black pride and racial harmony. The price we are paying for this important symbolism will lead us down a road to ruin. Many people want to discredit Barack because he is a black man, or because they are from the competing party. I am in neither category. I am one of the many concerned citizens who is seeing past his appearance, which is to say not letting it be the deciding factor in my opinion. I am a caucasion who wants to reach black America. Why? Because many in white America have fallen under the influence of political correctness and have stopped thinking for themselves.
Case in point: If someone is changing your benefits plan, the intelligent thing to do is to ask questions about it, right? Scores of regular people across the country have been doing just that and are being branding “right wing nuts,” “extremists,” and “racists” by the forces of political correctness. It only stands to reason that surely many of the questioners are NOT republican, crazy, or motivated by racism. PEOPLE ARE QUESTIONING THE GOVERNMENT AND BEING DISCREDITED, THIS IS AN ATTEMPT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO SILENCE ANYONE WHO QUESTIONS THEM.
There are other ways to reform healthcare–a good cause. Those without it (most of whom have no desire for it, or they would seek it, in my personal experience with my uninsured friends) can pursue benefits by organizing and joining labor unions. Prices can be brought down to a reasonable and affordable level by regulating insurance companies, but the government doesn’t want to do that. Why? It would mean checking the malpractice specialists who have been driving up costs and trial lawyers are among the most major donors to the Democratic National Convention. Instead we are facing nationalization–a hostile takeover of an entire industry by a government unwilling to respect the wishes of its people: the very definition of socialism. Communism is a totalitarian system of government where the little guy has no rights. Communism is a form of slavery. The Chinese live to serve the government and march to prison-like sweatshops where many live in dormitory style cells. The communists have twisted the issue into a civil rights issue by manipulating the English language into what you “can” and “can’t say.” They have propped up an anti-American puppet as a fake civil rights leader.
As obnoxious as I find Kanye West, he told the truth when he said “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.” Withholding FEMA relief from New Orleans was a passive aggressive attempt at genocide. Josef Stalin liquidated millions of Ukrainian Jews and Ukrainian Christian Slavs in his “purges” by withholding food from them during a famine. If the government is allowed to control who gets healthcare–essentially who lives and who dies–then what will happen when a closet racist makes the call on who is worthy of having their life saved?
I am not a republican but they happen to be right this time. We have been taught to fear them so much, many people tune out the message as soon as it’s coming from a critic of Barack. Barack is not the mayor of black people or the king of America. He is just a man. Rep. Joe Wilson called him a liar and they came down on him like a ton of bricks. Black people have always valued speaking the truth so I now turn to you for support. Heed my words.
If the government becomes to powerful, all of us “little people” will be in serious trouble.
Rap music should be cleaned up by the artists because they want to give the youth a positive message. Rap music should not be censored. The forces of white liberal political correctness want to stifle free speech. Rap music will be a target of the politically correct thought police.
I ask you, is Barack truly a Christian? According to Muslim law, if your father is Muslim you are a Muslim. If you are born Muslim and do not renounce Allah, you are a Muslim, according to the teachings of the prophet Mohammed. Barack did not grow up with a father in the home and “Rev” Wright filled that void. Wright is not a true Christian. His message is and always has been bigotry and fear. Wright is a follower of Farrakhan and Barack is a follower of Wright. These people are anti-American and now Barack, who was indoctrinated for twenty years by Wright to hate America, is making decisions about reducing our nuclear stockpile and scraping plans for missile defense shields. This effects you and your family.
McCain was too big of a coward to go after Barack for his mentorship with Rev. Wright (a man who publicly blamed America for 911 and appeared to side with the hijackers and be pleased with the outcome). McCain knew the liberal media would have branded him a racist for going after Wright, just because he is black. That is nonsense. I am white and I will criticize anyone when I see fit, be they purple, green, or candy-striped. I am not afraid to speak my mind, nor do I feel guilty about slavery–and why should I? I had nothing to do with it. My ancestors were not living in this country and had they been, I bare no responsibility for their actions. This playing of the race card by the far left is a trick to silence anyone who questions their
stifling of our freedoms. McCain is an honorable man (I voted for the alternative) but he let America down when he was too scared to ask Barack the tough questions.
As for Farrakhan, I see him as devilish. However, the Nation is not without it’s positive attributes and can be even better with new leadership.
This brings me to the question of Muslims. We are in the midst of a world war against Muslim extremists, many of whom are already here. That is just a fact. To say it publicly in mixed company is to risk being branded a racist, but it is still the truth and I will not be silenced. The anti-American liberals have twisted up the War on Terror into a civil rights issue by calling surveillance of terror suspects “racial profiling” in attempt to compare it with police shakedowns. They are talking apples and oranges. I want Arabs and Muslims to be monitored so we don’t have another 911. If that makes me racist, than I’ll be a live racist, a non-blown-up racist. We are in a fight for our lives here and can’t afford to be BAMBOOZLED and HOODWINKED by politically correct gibberish about Arab civil rights when some (not all) were sent here to destroy us. These white liberals (and it doesn’t make me anti-white for pointing out their complexion) have been fed so much anti-Americanism that they feel guilty about America’s real and imagined wrongdoings overseas and I am afraid some of them want America to loose the War on Terror (Nancy Pelosi demanding to free the 911 terrorists from Gitmo). Arabs are not blacks, they are being policed for a reason, and the reason is preventing innocent people from being hurt. If they are at all harassed unfairly by law enforcement, than that is too bad, but a small price to pay for security. Ask yourself, which side is Barack on? America or the Muslim extremists?

Carter is one of the biggest racists on the planet. He has a vendetta against Jewish people–one of the most historically oppressed–as evidenced by the book he wrote calling Israel an apartheid state. That is simply not true. Apartheid is a system of government where a racial minority (white South African Afrikaaners) ruled over the racial majority (black South Africans) and denied them political power through such tactics as racist laws and imprisoning Nelson Mandela.
Israel is a country where the Jewish majority shares power with the Arab minority, the exact opposite of apartheid. While Arabs aren’t treated as well as the Jewish majority (such as not being allowed to buy land and screened at the border) they are given way more rights than Arabs are given in Arab countries, or that Jews, Christians, or blacks (Darfur) are given in Arab countries. In other words, they have a pretty good life. Ask your average Arab living in East Jerusalem and
they will put down their adopted homeland, but they would never leave for all the tea in China. A lot of the anti-Semitism in that part of the word is force fed through their racist school systems which are controlled by racist governments who describe Jews and Christians as “pigs and dogs” in the text books. Israel is one of the most tolerant societies in the world and Carter knows that. He accused them of racism and apartheid in order to piss off the younger generation of Americans who hate racism. So how does a devil convince a younger non-racist generation to hate a race (Jews)? He simply labels the Jews as racists. Then, it is easy for a college kid to hate Israel–they are opposing racism instead of engaging in it. That’s not to say that there are no racist Jews, but Israel as a whole has a good track record on racial justice and is smart to search Arabs at the border, as some of them tend to be carrying explosives, a daily fact of life in that region. Carter is pretty evil to spread his racism in such a devious way.
It doesn’t stop there. Carter traveled to the Middle East to meet with Hamas, a terrorist organization hellbent on murdering Jewish people, whether they live in Israel or not, and targeting little kids. He claimed he was brokering a peace treaty, though no one asked him to, and he accomplished nothing. (Hamas is not interested in peace, never has been, and has made that perfectly clear.) The rest of the world was like WTF are you doing? Carter’s book and friendship with racist perpetrators of genocide have offended Jewish people, as well as normal non-Jews who hate terrorists, yet he remains unapologetic, throwing it in everyone’s face, which can be taken of further proof of his racism. (Can you picture Michael Richards going around with a “so what” attitude?)
Many people have called Carter a racist and his actions meeting with Hamas were borderline treason–they are at war with the United States and he had no authority to meet with them.
What many people do not know is that Jimmy Carter (hailed by many as the worst pres in our history, look out Bush) is in part DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR 911. The 911 ringleader was in captivity for blowing people up in Israel in the 1970s. Carter forced Israel to release him, as part of the Camp David Peace Accords which did not bring peace and put this guy back out on the street.
Most people are now waking up to the fact that Jimmy Carter hates America and is working with our enemies to bring us down. Just look at his face. He even looks evil.
Now he brings the race card into what should be an intelligent discussion about benefits, in order to keep a liberal government in power (Carter himself a liberal extremist) and pit the races against one another. Ever heard of divide and conquer? Carter is the real racist. Everyday he’s looking more and more like that old nazi from Raiders of the Lost Arc. Maybe his face will melt off.
Learn the truth about Carter. He was already hated when he played the race card, so he had nothing to loose. Maybe he “took one for the team” so that the corrupt democrats could continue peddling their health plan without getting down in the dirt with dirty tricks designed to distract away from the fact that people have been pouring out to town hall meetings demanding answers about this plan that they either did not get or did not like. The whole Congress is corrupt. They are going along with socialized medicine just to stay in power because they need the support of other politicians more than they need the support of the voters (evidently, but let’s hope not.)
Rep. Joe Wilson violated the rules of etiquette when he called Barack a liar out of turn. He was not wrong to question a leader. Obama is the President, not a king. The scary thing is that the rest of the crooks in Washington and many of his followers are treating him like a messiah, and being black has nothing to do with it, no man should be beyond questioning or beyond being called a liar. Look around, the democratic party (who I usually support, not a republican) took this guy and made him into their cartoon, posting pictures of oil painting portraits everywhere of our beloved leader gazing off into the horizon JUST LIKE A CULT LEADER. Barack carries himself like he is above it all, like he swallowed a valium, the same way these cult leaders act. His followers are refusing to look critically at anything he might be doing wrong and his campaign was based on hype (I should know, I worked on it). So am I a racist for telling the truth?
I live in the white world and let me tell you, most whites are afraid of being called a “racist,” which is what the democrats are now trying to capitalize on to silence anyone who questions the Beloved Glorious Leader they invented. To be branded a racist is to risk loosing business, friends, a job, social standing, getting beat up, ridicule and all because MOST AMERICANS ARE NOT RACIST (I live in the north), or at least have the decency to publicly frown on it, despite what beliefs they may hold privately. We all know that dropping the r-word gets a reaction from white liberals brainwashed by political correctness (mind control), it’s this very guilt driving magazine and candy bar rackets and all of the other race hustles. I never give a dime because I have nothing to repent for.
Barack is only half-black and he may not even be that. Do you realize, they are not even sure where this guy was born? Check it out on the internet, there is a question as to his birth certificate. He may not be black. He has an Arab name and he could pass for a dark Syrian or Egyptian. Think I’m crazy? Barack is a man of many secrets. ACORN was a criminal racket and Barack is ACORN. A black journalist (Michelle Malkin) was threatened for writing about this.
We are living in strange days. Many people in this country voted for this guy to prove that they were not prejudice and that’s not a reason. His job is waaaaayyy too important to let race factor in (though I don’t doubt that some blacks, whites, and others also voted against him for his perceived blackness). Even McCain (who I have a lot of respect for) was too big of a pussy to ask him the tough questions that needed to be asked. I was silenced too, told not to speak his middle name with a threat to my job from someone high up. His middle name is the truth–what are they hiding?
I asked a high ranking democrat why they put Sharpton on a stage, considering his track record of lynching people, preaching that old “blue eyed devil” nonsense, and owing money all over town–and do you know we he told me? This high ranking democrat (who shall remain nameless) said that “We (the Democratic Party) don’t care about black people. They think all republicans are racist so we can usually snag their votes. We like to find black faces to show them, so they think this is their party. We don’t care if its Sharpton, Kool Moe D, or OJ fucking Simpson. As long as they keep voting democrat we’ll keep registering them as voters (ACORN) in the name of “civil rights.”" That comment was made to me at a barbeque in the suburbs which was a political fundraiser and I have heard that philosophy from other politicians on the left, who I know personally. They needed a black face and that’s all Barack is to them. I can relate. The democrats have been pulling the same shit on my people (Jews) for years, feeding us the message over and over again that republicans hate us and people are believing it and voting out of fear. Okay, so in the case of Bush, Trent Lott, Strom Thurmond and a few other republicans, it is true–they are rapid racists. That doesn’t mean that all republicans are, or that democratic candidates are not racist. Considering that Barack is leading us into a world war and acting like a dictator, nationalizing an industry (Mussolini) and ignoring the wishes of the people–the republicans are starting to look better and better.
Don’t defend Barack just because he may or may not be black or just because he represents the black man or just because you share some of his political beliefs or are in his party. Use your head If you don’t know what socialism is, look it up. Read about Karl Marx, Joe Stalin, Che, Castro, China, the Falun Gong, the Free Tibet movement, the refuseniks, the shtasi, the Bolsheviks, the gulag, the Cold War, the USSR, the arms race, and national socialism (the Nazi Party).
Socialism and communism are virtually indistinguishable. They are based on utopias, perfect worlds where everyone has enough food, money, and healthcare and never has to worry about a thing. That’s how they lure you in. All you have to do, is turn your life over to “Big Brother” (the government) and all your problems will be solved. That’s socialism and communism on paper mixed with class hatred, the “haves vrs, the have-nots” (a common theme driving racism). Some ideas sound good on paper. In practice what you get is:
FORMER SOVIET UNION: people waiting in line for bread, a secret police force taking critics of the government away to prisons in Siberia, minorities oppressed, occupations assigned by the school system–not by choice, tyrants murdering their subjects, the chosen few with friends in high places getting all the perks, people living in fear and poverty, restrictions on travel, a country so fucked-up, it was afraid to let citizens leave for a vacation, for fear they would escape and never come back.
CHINA: secret police, secret prisons for “enemies of the state,” demonstrators brutalized, government controlling daily life, pictures of the Beloved Glorious Leader everywhere for the commoners to worship, no religion, punishment for believing in God, people living to work in factories, living IN the factories in dormitory style cells, sweatshops, people beaten by their managers at work, women sold as slaves, poverty, fear of the government, supression of personal right, government control of how many babies you can have, no American media allowed by law such as movies and music, NO ASKING QUESTIONS (healthcare anyone?).
NORTH KOREA: a Glorious Beloved Leader with pictures everywhere, poverty, fear, restrictions on travel, no free speech, secret police, secret prisons for undesirables, only the police have guns, people risking their lives to escape, a government that hates America, children taught in school to not be different, but to be servants of the government, a leader who is walks around in Elton John glasses with a pompadour, in a military uniform, with a cigarette holder who kidnapped movie producers from a neighboring country to make a move about himself, torture of citizens, one big prison camp.

He’s right. Carter laid it out there. I am white and I see it. Why can’t everyone see that there are people in this country that feel so threatened by President Obama, just because he is black? I am glad Carter said what he said. He’s telling the truth. People can argue it all they want- but they are only defending their own personal racist views, hoping they can cover it up as something else. I feel he is an amazing president so far, and he is far more in touch with the youth in the nation than in the past. I love our president.

Addicted? I don’t smoke. It bothers my asthma and I never liked the smell. My mother and stepfather quit smoking at the beginning of this year. My father and stepmother quit smoking a couple years ago. They all smoked for decades. None of them blame anyone but themselves for it.

No disrespect to Mr. Frum, but I do not recall him predicting the housing bubble crash 5 years before it happened, as it would happen, and the results would be, as Ron Paul did. Yes the gold standard had faults, so does every system; however, I do not believe there was any time in US history when the dollar 95% of it’s purchasing power under gold. In fact, I believe the purchasing power of the dollar was higher in 1912 (a year before the Fed) than in the late 1700′s. Also, the dollar was tied to gold in one form or another up until 1971. The problem of the depression wasn’t gold, it was the federal reserve. There was inflation for world war one, regardless of being “tied” to gold. We had no great depression before the fed. That is the real culprit. I think Frum is blaming gold for everything when the fed was undermining the whole system.

I hate the fact that all organized religions (including Islam and Christianity) brainwash people into blindly following a particular ideology. Where is the freedom to think? Why can’t the people be free to believe in God in their own personal way, according to the particular experiences of their life? Where is the spirituality if the believers just stick to a belief system without exercising their own judgment? Organized religions are just plain hogwash aimed at establishing political supremacy of one group of people over others. The only thing they promote is to make your thought process subservient to another (prophet, monk, mullah, priest, etc.). No one can find God through organized religion.
Mosab Hassan Yousef is certainly a courageous but misguided man. Bucking the Hamas terrorists and its religious fanatics requires extraordinary courage. However,it is a tragedy that he left the folds of one obscurantist ideology for another. Far more people have killed and been killed in the name of Christianity than Islam. That the latter is now aspiring to outdo the former does not make either one appealing much less peaceful.

The problem with this country is BOTH the Democrats and Republicans. Anyone who seriously thinks that one side isn’t corrupt or slaves to Corporate America hasn’t done an adequate job of paying attention. To the Republicans: The GW administration will go down in History as one of the worst administrations. They eroded your constitutional rights, expanded the power of the wealthy elite, invaded countries under false pretenses, destroyed diplomatic relations with the rest of the world, and spent money like it was going out of style. To the Democrats: Obama is a dud. He promised much and has turned out to be another corporate lackey. He made deals with big pharma to ensure you could not get your medication cheaper elsewhere, he flip flopped on military tribunals, he refuses to fix health care properly through nationalization or single payer, he populates his inner circle with more Wall Street insiders, he spends money on bailouts and useless stimulus packages.

Here’s the problem. Traders are in control of your money. If they make money (no matter how) they get a nice huge gargantuan bonus. If they don’t perform, they are fired, there is no middle ground. This is the state of the banking culture and the root of all our problems. It can be expressed with one word: greed!
Republicans want want failure, they want things like the insurance companies to continue to rake in billions and to keep the unwealthy at a disadvantage. The infrastructures portion was what we needed to get us going in advancing our country to come into the present but the old conservatives who want to go back to the “simpler times” (ie. slavery, and racial discrimination via lower education). Our country and everyday people need help due to bad financial policy and they are just not getting it. Who is getting it? Big business. God bless America.

I’m pleased that I am not a News Corp, shareholder! With the on going problems it is facing in the UKwith the now closed, News of the World. Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp based in Delaware; is also facing a legal challenge from its shareholders. These shareholders, including investment funds, labor and municipal pension funds are accusing Murdoch of misusing News Corp assets, by treating the company like a family candy jar, which he raids whenever his appetite strikes. It looks like the trouble are just starting!
