Bomber Going Home Because He's Dying? WTF?
Convicted Lockerbie bomber Abdelbeset Ali Mohmed al Megrahi is being released to Libya on compassionate grounds, Scotland’s Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill announced today. Al Megrahi, 57, is suffering from terminal prostate cancer. He was charged in the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over the town of Lockerbie, Scotland, which killed 270 people. This is some real political nonsense. There are inmates in jail dying of cancer, HIV and just plain old age and you can bet NONE of them will be released because of it and their crimes were far less treacherous. Trust that there was some serious gangster type negotiations going behind the scenes that “we” will never be privy to.
